My interest in this cafe started simply enough: I just wanted a decent cup of coffee that wasn't 15 blocks away. The location of Art Haus was perfect for me, but the coffee wasn't. Now I make sure the coffee is good - not just for myself, but for each person that comes to our building for a beverage and a good experience. I am writing in response to your ad for a coffee shop manager. I believe I am an ideal candidate for this position, and not just because I am currently managing the coffee shop on an interim basis. I have extensive experience managing a venue and catering events. I have a passion for coffee, and for maintaining a well-designed and efficient kitchen. I am in agreement with and loyal to the Artists' Milepost mission. I know that this position is unique because it means not only managing a successful cafe, but creating a space where artists can network and collaborate. I believe that the coffee shop is an ideal venue to promote the Artists' Milepost mission. I also believe in the potential of this place, and want to do my part in realizing that potential. Effective communication allows the customer to get exactly what they want and what they expect. As cafe manager, I hope to be able to build up a base of custmers who are in tune with our mission, and at the same time continually improve the space so that we can meet the needs of a diverse community.
