it's been starting to get cold where I live and I realized I haven't seen any ants for a while. this is the part of the year where they stay in their burrow and I get the false hope that maybe they're really dead, and for a while I wrap myself in that false belief like a warm blanket. not this year though. while the ants take their yearly respite from the elements, I've scouted their beats and I've been pouring poison slowly, slowly down the holes so when the ants wake from their slumber to welcome the spring and to begin torturing me anew, they'll find only sadness, only death. my wife left me but once she sees how ant free the garage is I assume she'll be back I miss her so much
