it's that time again. check your trash cans fellas i bet you there's a big fat ant lounging in there and probably informing the group chat about some oreo crumbs that found their way outside the bag. just as a reminder i'd like to go over some popular methods of dealing with these pesky pests:
- remove all forms of food from home so as to not lure hungry colonies by way of scent. this includes things that ants usually wouldnt eat but might nibble during periods of famine or special occasions/holidays such as baby teeth and leather upholstery
- place small gated fences obstructing possible paths of travel, say in front of windows and/or doorways. note that this is more of a psychological deterrent since the ants probably could just climb past, but wont due to fear of trespassing. the gates are extremely important so that ants that are already in your home may leave.
- do not invite strangers into your home as they may be ants. this is how they got me a few years back and i had to flood my house to get them out of my walls
