the release of in rainbows is krystal clear in my mind.... my gf was sleeping, and i was on my laptop doing some coding. as the closer Videotape came on, i started to get this really sad feeling, and it shows in the program i wrote as i was scrobbling. i immediately registered for wAsTe-Central, Radiohead's social networking website, and distributed my program to my friends, which prints random numbers between 7 and 16. it is HIGHLY recommended that you put on the album before you run it

every now + then, i get into one of my "Radiohead Phase"s, where i get back into the old albums, re-examining them, often discovering passion for tracks that i was not very into in the past. during these periods, i wear a large amount of beads dangling from my forearms and most of my conversations with friends are conducted in a cool, red-on-black font.

Many Radiohead records are 45rpm, meaning that when played at the most common record speed, 33rpm, the songs play slower; I believe that Radiohead intends for people to enjoy these "alternate versions" of their albums. Via an Ac to DC power converter, i can get a fog machine running in the ol Chevy Tahoe. A few buffalo chicken packs from Safeway, some ranch dressing, and i am good to go, driving 15mph around suburban neighborhoods and playing Hail to the Thief at 85% speed, which i have burned to CD, while i munch on my chicken wings, moist from the ranch goop + the ambient fog.

One thing i've noticed recently is that if you put on Mastodon - Blood Mountain, wait 32 seconds, then start Amnesiac, it sounds basically like this thing from my dream once.

Ok Computer / In Rainbows are good places to start. Work your way up to the more advanced stuff.. Kid A is basically as next-level as two 9/11s, also the terrorists are really depressed while they do it, not super pumped to hook up w/ alot of girls in heaven.
